This is a story about Percy the awesome piglet.
“Not Percy the Perfect Piglet?”, you may ask.
Ha, ha! Percy is not perfect. In fact NOBODY is perfect.
Piglets are awesome, amazing, curious, complex and many other interesting things. Percy is all of those things, too, but is is particularly awesome.
To be honest, some days have moments that are a bit low on awesomeness.
Sometimes Percy stubs his toe on the corner of his bed and that’s a bit unawesome.
Every now and again one of his friends picks up Percy’s very favorite toy – a low awesome moment.
Once in a while Percy is chased by chickens – not awesome.
And, on a rare, not so awesome morning, Percy just wakes up grumpy – for no reason at all!
However, by far and away, Percy is an awesome piglet.
Percy loves clean-up, clean-up time at school.
Percy loves seeing the firetruck go by.
Percy will eat any fruits and veggies, especially if they are followed by a chocolate chip cookie.
Percy loves to snuggle with his sister, Penny, to read bedtime stories.
While Percy is always awesome, there are occasions when he gets a WILD HAIR and does something that fells very awesome to him, but not so awesome to everyone else.
One day at school nap time Percy thought it would be awesome to tackle all of his friends while they rolled out their nap mats. He had to tell everyone he was sorry and he had to sit out for 2 minutes before his nap.
One day when his friends were all lined up to go to the playground, Percy thought it would be awesome to tackle everyone in the line. He had to tell everyone he was sorry and he had to sit out for 2 minutes before he could go to the playground.
One day Penny was playing with her horses in the front yard and Percy thought it would be fun to tackle her. He had to give Penny a hug, tell her he was sorry, and sit out for 2 minutes before he could play with his dump truck.
Percy and his parents had an awesome talk about how WILD HAIR ideas were only good if they were good for everyone involved, not just Percy.
The next day when Percy and Penny came home from school there were 2 awesome surprises. Penny got an entomology kit with bugs, a butterfly net, a hat, and a magnifying glass. Percy got a WILD HAIR teddy bear.
