Dugan Maddux visited Dr. Zyblut Twardowski in his office at the University of Missouri for this interview in 2009. Dr. Twardowski talks about his early start in nephrology as a clinician and researcher in Poland working toward his title of Doctor of Medicine. He describes using the Alwall and Kolff machines for early dialysis treatments in Eastern Europe in the 1960s.
